Ethiopians remember Mandela

Anti-apartheid icon’s stint at military camp in Ethiopia was a secret, but Ethiopians say their country was his home.In 1962 Nelson Mandela travelled to Ethiopia for three months of military training under the name of David Motsamayi.In his autobiography, Mandela speaks fondly about Ethiopia as a country that inspired him to continue his struggle against apartheid.Officially, Mandela’s presence at
the camp was a secret, but the anti-apartheid activist could not hide who he was.He was arrested shortly after returning from Ethiopia.
