Undoubtedly the current news keep coming out from all directions is a clear reminder of your government don’t care much about you; unless you happened to be born as Tigray People. The most privileged sector of Ethiopian society — as we speak, perhaps the lucky one. To understand your situation you don’t have to go further, but think and began to digest what happened to your people in Yemen, South Africa, and an epic proportion of Ethiopian migrants sunk crossing the Mediterranean Sea. Most importantly, the barbaric predicament your citizens have come to wittiness in Libya.
If you happened to be an Oromo, Amhara, or you come from any other souther region of Ethiopia, once you step out of your country in search of opportunity or political persecution, your fate is on your hand. No doubt, your government will not even recognize your dead body.
Woyane’s animosity goes well beyond simple contempt or even racism. They have antipathy toward Oromos but uses OPDO as a dogma of unity-bandwagon. They despite the Amharas more than any other groups of Ethiopians — pretty much anyone who isn’t a Tigray People or in the circle of current Ethiopia government.
Suffice it to say, they don’t just oppose these people, they generally have strong feelings of disdain toward them.
Not only that — the Ethiopian Muslim leaders have been persecuted and tortured for the past few years. They are still languishing in prison for merely speaking out to the government not to peddle in their nomination process of the head of Ethiopian Muslim Leader.
Similarly, the government has always been embarked on picking and choosing the head of The Ethiopian Orthodox Twahido Church suitable to their interest.
After all, you are not free but your life have always been living under authoritarianism and securitization regime for decades through a constant barrage of insecurity.
Let’s face it, anyone who denies that Woyane [The Current Ethiopian Government] is built on a foundation to enrich their crony and create a ladder of opportunity to Tigray People are either lying to you or lying to themselves.
Their primary goal is to put even more money in the hands of the Tigray selfish greed head elites, while they continues to disregard the plight of the greater Ethiopian people. Thus, these elites’ sons and daughters of Tigray people travel abroad to attend Ivy League universities — fully funded by their government across the world.
This is intended to pave a way for the little ones through cultivating and educating their future leaders on the back of hard working Ethiopian citizens. Undoubtedly the larger Ethiopian hard working public are funding the youth of future Woyane leaders without even notice.
Sadly to say, the rest of Ethiopian sons and daughters don’t get such opportunity like that of Tigray youths. Therefore, the rest of Ethiopians — very often they travel abroad and take matters into their own hands when government forces crackdown on them.
Furthermore, Woyane continue to pursue their peddling as much propaganda to the Western countries as possible in attempt to make them feel like they would consummate the Al-Shabbas or any other faceless terrorists organization in and around the Horn of Africa. As a result, this is how Woyane trick minds and earn a buck by creating havoc and even hoodwink Wendy Sherman, [the fourth ranking official of US department] — Ridicules the least to say!
Therefore, now, it is up to Oromos and the rest of Ethiopians including the Amharas —unequivocally to voice your opinion to the world. Clearly the current ruling regime has little concern for your humanity as they continuous their actions of imprisonment, killing or profiting from evicting farmers forcefully from their native land.
Furthermore, the ISIS footage has solidify this for many of Ethiopian citizens left their county because of fear of imprisonment or bestowed to be free as people for the ideals they hold so dearly.
However they have been heartbroken again and again, when victimized by the ungrateful xenophobic attack in South Africa, or face the anarchy of Yemeni human traffic dealers.
It is sickening to see now your citizens head butchered similar to the animals you celebrate during your Fasika or Eid al-Adha holidays get together with your loved ones.
Therefore, you should not only blame ISIS but blame also your government as well — for the many reasons or ills you go through inside your country and even when you attempted your best to flee persecution.
Last but not least, for the greater people of Ethiopia who are already under the umbrella of Woyane, — please brace yourself for the disappointment more to come in the name of election.
In fact the election-mania has already began to concoct what you want to hear from Woyane. The release of Bekela Garba from prison and the divestment impulse of economic vitalization of new project such as “Abbey Dam Construction Project” — economic opportunity, “Ethiopia planned new airport on outskirts of the capital” and so on — [the so called Limaat] — distressful.
Let’s not get fooled by all these and know what the plan is already before even scripted out to you. The Ethiopia’s nominal democracy which essentially runs by Woyane dictators have no interest in a free and fair election. Whenever there is election if they held at all, tent to be a sham — pockmarked by intimidation, fraud and violence.
The clear massage is here — you should know that your government is neither with you when you face difficulties at home rather fueling your problem nor would be there for you to safeguard you from ISIS cowards.
If we cannot do much, at least let’s remember those citizens of ours who fled the life of persecution in Ethiopia. May their soul rest in peace forever!
