Humanitarian Assistance

We would like to write behalf of Oromo refugees in Yemen on current crisis and our difficulties. As you know Yemen in crisis and war. We as Oromo refugees in difficult condition that can’t explain all. We are in poorest and no humanitarian assistance country. No water, electricity and shortage of food for last two weeks.

We as Oromo refugees have many problems which differ from another refugees. Somali refugees are war refugee they are returning to their home. Eritrean refugees have choice to return Ethiopia.  And others also have the same options, but we have no option to return to horn of Africa, specially our political refugees fear from Ethiopian forcibly take to jail and also we didn’t get any attention by UNHCR. Our claim of refugee is under question, because Yemen government and Ethiopian government have agreement to give wanted persons and most of UNHCR officers work by money.

Plus to this, there are many Oromo refugees who have IRC ID which they are from prison they didn’t accepted by UNHCR yet. Others which have mandate they have been here for twenty years without resettlement.

Our current problem is differ from previous. Our life is hand to mouse we have no any deposit to survive. No job nothing all of us on street. We have no freedom to be on street, the rebels may kill us.

We have no government and relatives, which we apply to. We have only you and humanitarian organization for our assistance. Even we are very sad, because why you didn’t give as any assistance until today. You are matured enough to help us and we hope you help us for Oromumma.

At this time we need from any individual and organization
From Oromo community : We expect big gathering to make heard our voice to world.
Humanitarian Organization : Have to give emergency assistance and sustainable support to take out us from this crisis.

Oromo Political organizations : have to shout to the world on behalf of their community who they are struggling for.

Generally Oromo elders and political leaders intelligence have to work on this by organized and centralized way explaining their national interest only for Oromumma.

If possible they have to group one group which work on Oromo refugee as constant.

However for our problem we have no lack of person. We have big people which are serving world . We ask you politely to do history for us.

Finally, we applied to you about our problem and we expect a positive and timely response from you.  If we have done mistakes we ask apologies.
